Sasha Sokolova was born in 1991 in Moscow, Russia, into a creative family. She works in a classical oil painting technique. The works have been shown at exhibitions around the world including Russia, Poland, Germany and Spain and can be found in private collections in Australia, Canada, America, Great Britain, Europe and Russia.

2005 graduated from the Sergey Andriyaka School of Watercolor, Moscow
2015 Masters of Fine Arts from VGIK, Moscow
2017 became the only artist from Russia to be accepted as one of the artists to work on the movie “Van Gogh. With love, Vincent», the first animated feature film in history to be entirely painted in oils, which was nominated for an Oscar in 2018.
2021 “The Last Portrait” painting awarded honorable mention at the international figurative portrait competition ModPortrait in Barcelona.
In the Chakras series, the artist moves from figurativeness into abstraction and explores the physics of color. At first glance, the paintings seem static, but soon they begin to come to life, as if breathing and speaking, transferring the pulse to other levels of observation. The impact of the paintings occurs due to the emerging light points and stripes, which provide a balancing effect on consciousness.
